“Don’t give up on your dreams if you really believe in them.”
I am 49 years old with three beautiful children. I currently work at the Starbucks roasting plant in Minden, NV. The passion I felt about writing this book stems all the way back from my childhood game which compelled me to write this. There are many more adventures existed in this childhood universe that are yet to be written.
I was born June 18, 1973, in a small coastal town in California called Freedom which is close to Watsonville and is 15 miles South of Santa Cruz. That makes me a Gemini. I am the second oldest of four siblings. I enjoy hiking, biking, and playing guitar. I have an older sister and two younger brothers from a different Dad; they are ten years younger than I am. When my younger brothers grew up, I was the leader of our little pack. My cousin and I grew up together and we’re very close. At eighteen, he decided to join military and after which, I kind of lost contact with him for many years but recently we have been making contact again. Sometime in the year 1999, I remember starting to write a book about our childhood game that I used to play with my cousin and brothers whom I loved to play with. I lived in Freedom for about 33 years then I got married in 2003. Then in 2005 me and my wife moved to Minden, Nevada, where we had three children – Chris, Seth, and Nicole. When I moved to Minden, I got a good offer at the Starbucks Roasting Plant (CVRP&DC) in January 2006. Things were very good for a long time, and I had a lot of wonder times with my family until one day, June 27, 2018, when I was notified that my wife wanted to divorce. The events that unfolded after that day were so horrific that I was pushed to the brink of suicide. After about 6 months, I found an apartment and was able to get a few items that I asked for out of the house. One of the items that I got was the book that I had started writing, which didn’t even have a title yet. However, when I saw the book, some divine voice told me to finish it! So, I would lay on my air mattress and write a few pages every night before I go to sleep. One night, when I was laying on my bed, I could have sworn that I saw a bright light behind me and when I looked, nothing was there. My mom says that it was the Holy Spirit who gave me the wisdom and foresight to persevere through this horrible time in my life. I kept writing for months. When I finished the manuscript, I began typing it into Microsoft Word and continued writing and editing. Until one day, I felt it was ready, which was a total of about 4 years. I feel like writing this book has taken my lifetime. So, I put my heart and soul into those pages. In anything, I just simply wanted to finish it and now I feel like I did! Thank You.
